Chinonso and Rita

It was a memorable day at Idumu-Ogboli, Ubulu-Uku in Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State, when one of their daughters, former Miss Rita Osakwe got married to her hearthrop, Chinonso.

The colourful traditional marriage ceremony took place between Rita and Chinonso on the 6th January, 2024. 

The ceremony saw the family of late Diokpa Emmanuel Boi Osakwe playing host to dignatories from far and wide, including the family of the groom from Imo State. 

It started with the observation of all the traditional marriage rites which were successfully concluded before the grand reception held elaborately at the village square.

After the in-house traditional rites, the family head of Idumuogboli, Elder Iwebunor declared Rita as Nonso’s wife and prayed for a successful marital life. 

The well decorated platform at the reception ground harbored over 2,000 guest who came to grace the ocassion. Food, drinks were served in quantum and elated Rita was seen dancing happily with her husband while Naira notes were flying in all directions in the air. 

The ocassion was attended by Idumuogboli elders, Idumubo youths, friends, well wishers, relatives and the Ubulu Ezemu media crew which covered the event live.

Others who attended include an aide to the Obi of Ukwunzu, Dr Israel Oseafiana, Reverend Pastor Onyeisi Uwaje, Mr Emmanuel Arinze from Ubulu Unor amongst other dignatories.
