Ubulu Uku Community Agog As Ada Jesus Is Buried Amid Pomp

The remains of the late Mrs Uche Onyekachi have been laid to rest at her country home, Ubulu-Uku in Aniocha South LGA of Delta State.
The late celebrity, popularly known as Ada Jesus was aged 47.
Until her Death, Ada Jesus was a philanthropist and a key member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Party.
People from far and near within and outside Delta State, including Asaba, Delta State Capital, where she was based came in their numbers to pay their last respect to the deceased.
There were series of tributes and testimonies pointing to the good life that late Ada Jesus lived, just as members of Ubulu-Uku community trooped out in their thousands to pay their last respects to the departed.
Ada Jesus’s burial, apart from shutting down the community, also attracted APC and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) bigwigs to Ubulu-Uku as well as other important dignatories.
A mammoth crowd thronged Udo Quarters, Ubulu Uku, where the funeral service was held. There were tributes and testimonies of how she assisted the society positively, coming from both the rich and the poor.
In his tribute to Ada Jesus, one of her close loyalists, Mr Akalaka Nally Ashibuogwu said he has been heartbroken since the demise of the departed, adding that they were very close to the extent that some people refer her as his mother.
Mr Ashibuogwu said “Ada Jesus is not my biological mother but she has stood for me over the years as a mother-figure in the sense that most people, within and outside Ubulu-Uku refer to her as my mother” .
“There is no secret about such bonding but it has to do with understanding, trust and mutual cooperation. In fact, those factors were the secret of our relationship.
” Sadly, she left this world and entered into eternity on the early hours of Sunday 19th November, 2023. There is no doubt, that she has gone to be with the Lord who knows everything in secret and in the open”
While recounting his encounter with Ada Jesus, Mr Chukwudi Emmanuel expressed his high respect for the deceased.
He said “My first meeting with her, just because i went to greet her, she gave me 100 dollar. She was a very nice woman, I don’t know why death have to take her away from us.
A cross section of mourners who spoke to Ubulu Ezemu at the funeral narrated how she either built house for them, offered car gifts including cash.
After the service, tears flowed freely as the remains of the late Ada Jesus was laid in her final resting place at Udo quarters, with her grieving family, friends and relatives in tow.
Senator of the 8th and 9th National Assembly, Peter Nwaoboshi graced the burial ceremony and the Director Representing Delta North in the Direct Labour Agency, DLA, Hon. Sir Engr. Lawrence Ejiofor.
Also at the funeral were Prof. Leroy Edozien, Engr. Hycent Enuha, Ide Austin Izagbo, Ide Tony Nwaka, Prince Fred Mordi, Mr Gozie Nwoyo and other APC party chieftains.
Ubulu Ezemu media crew was on ground and took a live coverage of the event.
Others include: former President of Ubulu-Uku Youth Development Council (UYDC), Comrade Augustine Enyi, Udo youths, Ubulu-Uku youths, Ogbogu Okonji, a popular cultural musician from Anioma with his Anioma Brothers, amongst other dignatories.
