… Gives Car, 300 Bags of Rice, Others

Ada Jesus Foundation, on Sunday celebrated its 11th year of existence in an elaborate get-together/empowerment at the Foundation’s office in Asaba, Delta State capital.

The founder of the Foundation, Ada Jesus used the occasion to empower the less privileged and widows drawn from Delta North Senatorial Zone and environs.

Speaking at the occasion, Ada Jesus said that the party was organised primarily to empower some group of people in the society, particularly the less privileged and widows.

According to her, the empowerment was the Foundation’s way of putting smiles in the faces of the needy.

During the event, Ada Jesus gave out a Lexus ES 350 car (2014 Model) to one of the beneficiaries, Bola Sanya.

As part of the empowerment, the philanthropist gave out 300 bags of 50 kg rice; 50 bags of 100kg beans; 600 cartons of indomie; 500 cartons of tin tomatoes and 150 pieces of women wrappers.

She also gave 100 Dollars each to three blind persons who were present at the occasion.

To create jobs for some of the people that attended, Ada Jesus empowered 22 akara sellers with 100 dollars each, 1 bag of 100kg beans each, a carton of tin tomatoes each and a carton of indomie as a support base.

In addition, eight windows were empowered with one bag of 50kg rice each, a carton of indomie each, a carton of tin tomotos each and the sum of N20, 000 each.

Hawkers were not left out as they were equally empowered with the sum of N10,000 each, a bag of 50kg rice each, a carton of indomie each and a carton of tin tomatoes each.

Various other groups within Delta North and its environs were empowered with cash and different items
