Two old students of Ubulu-Uku Model Primary school, Mr Kingsley Nnamdi Nwami and Mr Uche Chiemeka have donated a large number of books to the pupils of their alma mater.

Nwami, a US based philanthropist also gave out an undisclosed amount of money, as a way to support the pupils in their educational pursuit.

In addition to the cash donation, Nwami also donated 20 copies of the book: Are Mermaids Real and 20 copies of “Sophy And The Rabbit”, two books written by a 10-year old granddaughter of Ubulu-uku Ofure Ifeoma Teresa Esangbedo-Philips.

The books and cash were presented to the pupils during the Prize Giving Day at Ubulu-uku Model Primary school.

In her comment, the Head Mistress of the school, Mrs Uzumefune Bethel commended the donors, thanking them for their kind gestures.

According to Uzumefune, the cash will go a long way to assisting the school in procuring  some things needed to run administration of the school.

Pupils who spoke with Ubulu Ezemu on the Prize Giving Day expressed joy for the assistance given to them by their alumni.

“God will less those who gave us books and money. We are very happy for that and we pray that God will reward them”, one of the pupil stated.

It will be recalled that, due to his passion to assist and efforts being made in the development of his people and the Ubulu-Uku community, Nwami was bestowed with the prestigious award of excellence by the leading community online publishing platform, Ubulu Ezemu.

The award recipient was decorated with Charity Personality of The Year in 2020 and 2021.
