It was a beehive of activities today at St Marks Anglican Church, Ubulu Uku as dignatories arrived during the early part of the day, to join the thanksgiving service of His Lordship, Reverend Kingsley Chukwukamadu Obuh.

The attendance was very impressive because the Bishop means different things to different people, particularly folks from his hometown.

To some, Obuh is humility personified. To others, the bishop is a symbol of Christianity while many more see him as a role model that we all need to follow his footsteps.

Personally, I see the man of God as an intellectual who found himself in God’s vineyard through divine arrangement. Even in the vineyard, Reverend Obuh has made us to see the essence to following God diligently as our creator. He walks his talk and lives by example.

Little wonder he rose to this level that the almighty God has placed him. In fact, he is the first bishop from Ubulu-Uku to have reached that enviable position of becoming a substantive Bishop of a Diocese.

Glory be to God!

Meanwhile, Kingsley Obuh is a native of Ubulu-Uku in Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State, where he was born on 22 March 1976.

On 25 February 2022, he was elected Bishop of Asaba Diocese alongside others at the Episcopal synod of the Church of Nigeria held at St Andrew’s Anglican Church, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

And on 5 April 2022, he was enthroned Bishop of Asaba Diocese by Henry Ndukuba and assumed office, taking over from Justus Mogekwu.

This anointed man of God attended Uganda Christian University in 2009 where he bagged a degree in Divinity Theology, and also obtained a master’s degree in Christian Theology from Ambrose Alli University in 2012.

Until his election as Bishop, He was the Administrative Secretary and Personal Assistant to the Primate of Church of Nigeria.

On 5 April 2022, he was enthroned Bishop of Asaba Diocese by Henry Ndukuba and assumed office, taking over from Justus Mogekwu.

The bishop is happily married to Comfort Obuh.
