SPORTS: ANIOCHA SOUTH LOCAL COUNCIL CHAIR, CHUKWUNWIKE EMPOWERS COLLEGE STUDENTS

In a bid to support and encourage the students of his alma mater, the Honourable Chairman of Aniocha South LGA of Delta State, Pastor Jude Chuwkunwike, on Friday donated cash and other sporting items to the students of St Anthony’s Model College, Ubulu-Uku.
Pastor Chuwkunwike made the donation during the annual Inter-House Sporting activities Chaired by Dr Cyril Kanayor Ezeamaka who is also a former student of the school.
As part of activities organised for the competition, the Chairman won the “Old Boys” 50 meters race and was declared winner to the admiration of the crowd.
Since assumption of office, the Chairman has continued to identify with, not only his Ubulu Uku folks, but to all indigenes of the local government area.
Under his watch, the Council has been recognising peace and progress in most areas. Security, which is pivotal to the growth of the LGA has been top-notch.
Gradually, the local government area has started making the issue of security a priority through regular meetings with security heads, traditional rulers council and other stakeholders.
In the area of cultural preservation, the Pastor is giving all the support to the traditional institutions and community leaders who are now very happy with the system.
