The Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) Delta State has announced that its Governorship Primaries of the Party will hold Tomorrow, Wednesday, 25th May, 2022 as scheduled.

This is just as the party’s 2015 governorship candidate, Chief Great Ogboru, has dumped the party and picked the 2023 governorship forms of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) to contest the race.

Great Ogboru had earlier criss-crossed five political parties, including the defunct Alliance for Democracy (AD), the Democratic Peoples Party (DPP), the Labour Party (LP) and the APC.

In an official statement issued Tuesday, signed by the State Publicity Secretary, Dr. Ifeanyi M. Osuoza, the party stated that the programme for the Primaries, as directed and approved by the National Secretariat, is as follows;

1. Accreditation Venue: Event Centre, Asaba

2, Accreditation starts: 9:00am

3, Election Venue: Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba.

It further stated that “concerned delegates, governorship aspirants, agents, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies, officials, media personnel should take note”.

“Anyone who is not directly involved with the Primaries is STRICTLY advised to stay away from or near the perimeters of all aforementioned venues until the exercise is duly completed”, the statement concluded.
