Less than 24 hours to much expected Ubulu-Uku Youth Development Committee (UYDC) election scheduled to hold 16th April, 2022, the apex sociocultural body, Ubulu Uku Development Council (UDC) has postponed the polls indefinitely.

In a circular made public, signed by the Secretary of the Electoral Committee, Comrade Pius Osemene, the body stated that the election has been postponed but did not indicate any scheduled date.

The statement copied to all UYDC 2022 General Election candidates, titled: “Extension of Election Date” stated “The Electoral Committee (ELCO) wishes to appreciate the youths for their cooperation towards a peaceful and credible election.

” We wish to inform you that the ELCO in their wisdom have resolved to postpone the election” .

“This postponement became necessary to enable the candidates put their house in order” .

“Any inconveniences this may have caused is highly regretted” .
