A statement issued by the community body at the weekend read “On behalf of Ubulu-Uku Development Council we wish to inform you that one of the objectives of the current administration of Ubulu-Uku Development Council (UDC) led by the indefatigable President- Sir Jonathan Monye Esq, at inception, is to ensure among others, the economic development of Ubulu-Uku community.

To this end, a group of seasoned Ubulu-Uku professionals in the financial services sector, legal, businessmen and women, academics as well as development sector practitioners were carefully selected to, among other terms of reference, work out modalities for the establishment of a Micro Finance Bank including searching for investors and getting necessary approvals from the Central Bank of Nigeria CBN and other relevant regulatory agencies.

Today, we are glad to share with you one of the laudable milestones covered so far.

With great pleasure and sense of fulfilment, we are proud to inform you that ANI UBULU MICROFINANCE BANK (AMFB)is in the process of being born (the search for core investors is ongoing at advanced stage, the feasibility studies and necessary documentation are being put in place for request for approval in principle).

When licensed, this promises to be a world class Micro finance bank with 21st century digital facilities set to compete favourably with the best in the marketplace and ultimately grow into a mega commercial bank. It is a bank that Ndì’Ubulu as a collective and as individual stakeholders as well as friends of Ubulu Uku will be proud to associate with as customers and as shareholders.

In this regard, we wish to ramp up communication with all stakeholder segments to share ideas, respond to questions and receive ideas and become more enlightened on issues related to the soon to be birthed microfinance bank.
