….. Another Injured At Ogwashi-Uku 

Two Ubulu Uku young men were on Sunday evening killed in a car accident which occured opposite Ubulu Uku General Hospital at Abuedo area of the town. 

The unidentified victims were said to have been knocked down by a Toyota Car (Spider) coming from Ogwashi-Uku. They were knocked down from their motorcycle while they were heading to Ogwashi-Uku from Ubulu-Uku. 

Local sources hinted Ubulu Ezemu that the driver of the Toyota car, Ekene Osemene Akpu was on full speed as at the time the accident happened. With high speed, he ran into the moving motorcycle, veered off the road and climbed a high terrain before hitting a ditch which made him to stop.

Noticing the extent of the accident, Akpu from Idumu Ishonu quarters, is said to have absconded to an unknown destination for safety.

According to the source, the victims of the unfortunate incident were barbers who, until their death were operating a Barbers Shop along Issele Uku road. One is from Abuedo while the other is from Idumuosume quarters, Ubulu-Uku. 

The location of the driver is not yet known as at the time of filing this report. 

In a related development, another ghastly accident occured at Ogwashi-Uku at almost the same time. It is not however, certain whether the Ogwashi Uku incident is connected with the Ubulu Uku incident.

A resident in Abuedo confirmed the ugly incident, informing that the remains of the victims have been deposited in the mortuary while the matter has been reported to the police.
