… Hon Ikenwe Dedicates Award To God

The Director General of Delta State Capital Territory Development Agency, Hon. Mrs. Joan Onyemaechi Mrakpor has advised Ubulu-Uku people, especially politicians to eschew bitterness and embrace love in togetherness.

Mrakpor stated that, when one is bitter about something, that person may not be able to achieve what he or she is embittered about.

The Ubulu-Uku Iron Lady was speaking at Ubulu Ezemu Launch/Awards 2020 held recently at Viva Hotel, Ubulu Uku.

Speaking on the need for people to show gratitude in all they do, Mrakpor who won “The Most Innovative Public Servant of Year 2020” made it clear that those who are ungrateful are only being ungrateful to God and not man.

She said “If I give you this on Monday, and you praise me; tomorrow, I give to another person, and you say I am not a good person. You are not doing me because no man is able to give kindness, except God. It is how God pushes it in people’s heart that they can do kindness”.

“We have to be very careful about what we do. If someone helps you on Monday, and you show ingratitude, it is not about the person. Because no man has the ability to do good. God that touches the person that helped is who you are showing ingratitude to.

The award recipient, applauded a co-awardee, High Chief Emma Ejiofor, expressing appreciation for the good things the awardee has done in Ubulu-Uku.

She however, urged Chief Ejiofor to support Mr Jude Chukwunwike Ugbah for his political ambition.

Explaining further, she said “It will be a disaster for you, for the first time, to abandon your brother. I want to also publicly tell you that I appreciate what you have done. God of heaven who knows how to bless will bless you” .

“I can stand here and say that God of heaven used me as an instrument for about 99. 9 percent of Ubulu-Uku politicians who have seated in one position or the other today, eating from that position” .

Also speaking at the award presentation, Honourable Vice-Chairman of Aniocha South LGA Council, Hon Joe Ikenwe thanked organisers of the award.

Hon Ikenwe who won the “Local Government Administrator of The Year 2020” dedicated his award to Almighty God who he described as giver of positions and not man.

Ikenwe who made his ambition to return to the Council as Chairman said “The election is coming soon and I ask for your prayers as no man can twist the hand of God. I want to continue the activities of welfare and security which is paramount in Aniocha South LGA
