UBULU-UKUUSA DONATES N2.7 MILLION TO BOOST SECURITY AT UBULU UKU

Award winning community association, Ubulu-Uku USA (UUU) has donated the sum of N2. 7 Million to the Ubulu Uku unit of Delta State Vigilante to boost security in the town and environs.
Ubulu UkuUSA, a United States based association had come together and contributed the whopping sum as funds to support the ongoing security community policing effort of the Ubulu-Uku Vigilante group.
According to UUU, the move is to enhance safety for all, especially during these heightened periods of social unrest and economic insecurity around the country.
In a letter dated 18th December, 2020 and addressed to the Chairman Ubulu-Uku Vigilante Group, Chief James Adoh, they expressed serious concern for the need for a safe Ubulu Uku.
The letter was jointly signed by the President of UUU USA INC. Association, Mr Michael Eboka; General Secretary, Mike Ejogo and two members of the committee: Hon. Solomon Ojeah and Mr. John Azu.
Part of the letter read; “on behalf of the UUU Executives and members of Ubulu-Uku USA (UUU) Association, we wish to express our sincere congratulations and a vote of thanks for all the efforts and accomplishments of the Ubulu-Uku Vigilante Group in keeping our community safe” .
“In recognition of these facts, the UUU Association members came together and contributed some funds to support the ongoing security community policing effort of the Ubulu-Uku Vigilante group so that they can continue to keep our community safe for all, especially during these heightened periods of social unrest and economic insecurity around the country”.
“The UUU Association after much consultations within the group agreed to support the Ubulu-Uku vigilante security initiative with the sum of approximately #2.7 Million Naira to be used towards procurement of necessary equipment(s) and materials in furtherance of the lawful security efforts for our community”.
“We have realized that the security of our community will require collaborative efforts from all sons and daughters of Ubulu-Uku indigenes both home and abroad. Ubulu-Uku USA is therefore taking this great opportunity to invite all other well-meaning associations and individuals to join us in this effort to ensure the continued safety of our people”, the association stated.
It will be recalled that UUU has been in the forefront of making sure they give back to Ubulu-Uku community over the last few years.
For instance, the association brokered a 33 KVA electricity project which was commissioned at the General Hospital a few years ago. UUU has equally involved in the provision of educational scholarships to Ubulu-Uku indigenes. Most recently, they provided almost 200 bags of rice to all the quarters in Ubulu Uku.
According to the association, “Ubulu-Uku USA (UUU) is committed to ensuring that we will leave no stones unturned to help our people with our capabilities”.
“All members of (UUU) are well aware of the numerous challenges that confront our people daily and we will do everything within our powers to support meaningful projects by deploying our resources to tackle some of these challenges” .
“We are very hopeful that the security assistance we are offering today will go a long way towards making this year’s Christmas and new Year a safer one for everyone in our Ubulu-Uku community and beyond”, the association stated.
